The first series of Yak images have a special message on the side as well. That other aircraft, the Pe-2, has written on it 'For Stalin the Great!' The Beriev MBR-2 has a message on its nose as well, which reads: 'to the fight for the Motherland!' While I read and speak Russian I can't make it out. Anne Noggle's A Dance with Death is probably the best one.Īs for translating the message on that LaGG-3, unfortunately I can't make out the lettering. The female squadrons also have some great resources.
There are still some great books on the Eastern front. The Soviets had just about everything we had. Who said anything about Stalin not caring about his troops? A wounded man that can be saved who is left to die is a useless waste of resources.
